Director's Notes - Jessica Zodrow

The first time I read the script for "Private Eyes" I could not put it down. Each moment popped out as vivid pictures in my mind. All the characters were full and written as real human beings, in that, no one is perfect. I saw how the layers of the story came together to create a ride for an audience, and I wanted to help make that happen.

We follow Matthew on his journey through a web of lies and lust. We laugh and cry and scream out "I did not see that coming."

My vision for the play is full of shadows and brightness, plain truth and twisted dreams, black and white and color- no rock is left unturned, and no idea of love is left unexplored.

To me "Private Eyes" is the most wonderful blend of dark-comedy and American realism. There is also a dash of Film Noir, sprinkled over the lovely landscape of the rapid fire scenes that keep all of us on our toes.

Full of excitement and intrigue, this production should not be missed by anyone!
