Dog Opera

Set in 21st century New York, Dog Opera is the story of two 30-somethings trying to find love outside of their lifelong friendship. He’s a gay male, she’s a straight female and both are looking for love and trying to get laid. The play follows them from first dates to breakups and from New York subway stations to Grecian beaches. The cast of supporting characters are unbelievably funny but universally familiar. It’s a comedy, with a little bit of drama. Or perhaps a drama with a little more comedy.

2Boards is honored to be collaborating with Rae Kraemer on Dog Opera.  Rae received her training at the reputable Portland Actor’s Conservatory where she now serves as a teacher for the Summer on Stage program. She is also a critically acclaimed actress who was seen as Isabella in 2Boards previous production of Measure for Measure, and who has worked with local companies such as the Portland Actors Ensemble, Quintessence Language and Imagination Theatre, and the Artists Repertory Theatre.
